One of our favorites
Don't have a name for it, but it's
one heck of a great sandwich.
Directions for one
sandwich:
2 pieces of bread -
preferably "Old Fashioned"
1 slice of Kraft American cheese45
1 slice of provolone cheese
1 slice of bologna
1 slice of salami
Get packs of the thin
deli-sliced meats;
usually made by Budwig.
Use 2 beef slices
Use 2 corned beef slices
Use 2 turkey slices
Use 2 slices of ham
Set oven to Broil
Place all the meats and cheeses on one
slice of bread.
Place this loaded slice of bread on a piece
of aluminum foil and place in center rack
of oven. Leave until it is melted good.
While it is broiling /
melting, add mayonnaise to
the other slice of bread.
By the way, there is "only" one true mayonnaise
and that is Duke's. If you don't use Duke's you
must not be from the south.
To the piece of bread
you added the mayonnaise to
also add some mustard drops. Important not to
spread it, but to drop it variously over the bread.
Top this piece of bread off with a sprinkle of
Parmesan cheese.
Now place the slice of
bread that is not in the oven
yet on top of the fully melted sandwich you
have in the oven.
Let it brown, mildly,
on each side and you
are ready to eat a great sandwich.
(Can also be
prepared in toaster oven)
